Smart Scaling Suite ("SSS") is owned and operated by Tamara MacDonald. We use Artificial Intelligence tools in parts of our content creation process and day-to-day business operations.
This page exists because you deserve to know where AI shows up in our work and where it does not. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.
We think of AI the way most professionals think of any software that makes work faster. A photographer uses Lightroom. An accountant uses spreadsheet formulas. We use AI to handle research, rough drafts, and repetitive formatting so we can focus on the creative and strategic decisions that actually shape your experience with SSS.
Not everyone feels the same way about AI, and that is fine. What matters to us is that you are never left guessing. If AI played a role in something we made, we will say so. That is the whole point of this page.
We sort our work into three categories based on how much human vs. AI input went into the finished product.
A person did this from start to finish. Tamara, a team member, or a hired professional came up with the idea, created the content, and finalized it without AI involvement. Think live Zoom calls, on-camera videos, and hand-written emails.
A human led the project and made all final decisions, but AI helped along the way. That might mean using AI to research a topic, pull together a first draft, clean up grammar, or format a document. The human contribution outweighs the AI contribution in these cases. Most of our written content (blog posts, social captions, email sequences, template pack copy) falls into this category.
AI did the bulk of the production work on this piece. A human still checked it for accuracy, tone, and quality before it went out, but the heavy lifting was on the AI side. We rarely use this category, and when we do, we flag it.
Here is a breakdown of how AI typically shows up (or does not) in each part of what we do. If we ever change these defaults, we will update this page.
Written Content (blog posts, emails, social media, website pages): Made with AI Support. AI helps with research, outlines, and early drafts. A human writes the final version and approves everything before it goes live.
Template Packs and Client Deliverables: Made with AI Support. The creative direction, brand strategy, and quality checks are always handled by a person. AI may assist with drafting copy or building out initial layouts.
Design and Visual Assets: Made with AI Support. AI helps with minor edits, mockups, and image adjustments. Our brand identity (logo, color palette, core visuals) was designed by a human designer and is not AI-generated.
Video and Audio: Made with AI Support for editing and transcription only. All teaching, coaching, and live sessions feature real people on camera or on mic.
Automations and Workflows: Made with AI Support. Email sequences, CRM automations, and internal workflows are planned and built by humans. AI tools may be used during the building process. Any automated messages sent on your behalf come from templates that a person wrote and approved.
Customer Support: Made with AI Support. Our chat support is powered by an AI agent that can answer common questions and help troubleshoot issues. If you want to talk to a real person at any point, just let the chatbot know and it will connect you with a member of our team. Our 3x/week live Zoom support sessions are always run by humans.
If you buy a template pack or hire us for a custom project, here is how AI fits into what you receive:
Strategy and creative direction come from a person. Your brand positioning, the overall concept, and the decisions about what goes where are human-led.
AI may help draft copy, build initial page layouts, or handle repetitive production tasks.
A human reviews every deliverable before you see it.
We will not hand you AI-generated work and call it something it is not.
Tamara MacDonald personally oversees the quality and accuracy of everything published under the Smart Scaling Suite name. That includes content we create for our own marketing and work we deliver to clients.
AI does not get the final say on anything we publish, promise, or deliver. A person always makes the last call.
We use commercially available AI platforms (like Claude by Anthropic and ChatGPT by OpenAI) as part of our workflow. Here is what that means for your information:
We do not upload your personal data into AI tools for the purpose of training those models.
Any client-specific details you share with us (business info, project briefs, brand materials) stay within the bounds of your project and our Privacy Policy. We do not share that information publicly.
We check the data handling and privacy practices of the AI tools we use on a regular basis.
For the full picture on how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
These are the commitments we make to you about how we use AI:
We will be upfront. If AI was part of creating something, we will say so. No weasel words, no burying it in fine print.
The bar stays the same. Whether a piece of content was written by hand or drafted with AI support, we hold it to the same quality standard before it goes out.
We take ownership. If something we deliver has an error or falls short, that is on us. Using AI does not give us an excuse.
Your voice and likeness are yours. We will never use AI to copy or imitate your voice, face, or personal brand without your clear, written permission.
You can always ask. Want to know if AI was involved in a specific piece of work? Ask us and we will give you a direct answer.
The way businesses use AI is changing fast, and the rules around it are still being written. We are not going to pretend we have it all figured out. What we will do is keep this policy updated as our tools and practices evolve, and we will always choose honesty over looking polished.
